Custom Song FAQ
Plain answers to the questions we get every day. Need something specific? Get in touch or jump straight to the brief form.
How much does a custom song cost?
DiCustomSong starts at ₹1,499 for a 2–3 minute personalised song with real vocals, written from your brief and delivered as a studio-quality MP3.
How long does it take to make a custom song?
Standard delivery is 3 to 7 days from when we receive your brief. Rush options can bring it down to 24–48 hours for time-sensitive gifts.
What languages can the song be in?
We produce songs in Hindi, English, and Hinglish (Hindi-English mix). Most weddings and family gifts use Hindi or Hinglish; corporate and international gifts often pick English.
Are the vocals AI or real human singers?
Every DiCustomSong release uses real human vocalists. We use AI in lyric drafting and melodic sketching for speed, but never for the actual singing — synthetic vocals do not carry emotion on sustained notes.
Can I choose male or female vocals?
Yes. You pick vocalist gender during the brief. We can also match a reference singer style (Arijit Singh-like, Shreya Ghoshal-like, etc.) where feasible.
Can I request revisions?
Yes. Every order includes one round of lyric revision after the first draft. Production-stage tweaks (tempo, instrumentation) are also accommodated within reason before the final mix.
What format do I receive the song in?
A studio-quality MP3 delivered by email. Higher-bitrate WAV is available on request for clients who plan to play the song at a live event with a professional PA system.
How long is a custom song?
Songs are typically 2 to 3 minutes long. We have found this is the sweet spot for personal gifting — long enough to develop emotion, short enough to replay without fatigue.
Who owns the copyright of the finished song?
You own the personal-use copyright of the finished song for private listening, gifting, and social sharing. Commercial licensing (broadcast, ad use, sync) is available as a separate arrangement.
Is my story kept confidential?
Yes. Briefs are treated confidentially and not shared publicly without explicit written consent. We never showcase a customer song on the website or socials unless you specifically allow it.
What if I am not happy with the song?
If the final song genuinely does not match the brief, we will rework it or refund per our published refund policy. Most concerns are resolved by the included revision round before final mix.
How do I write a brief that produces a great song?
Be specific. Names, dates, inside jokes, and one or two true sensory details — the smell of a place, a phrase someone always says — produce better songs than generic adjectives like "romantic" or "fun".
